Teaching Experiences:

*Participant in the University of Alberta teaching Program from 2000-2001. The University Teaching

Program allows for graduate students to acquire and develop teaching skills that parallel the

development of research skills. This course consisted of 60 hours of specialized graduate

teaching theory and methods with videotaped teaching portfolio work samples analyzed in

         conjunction with two professor mentors.

*I taught a first year introductory psychology class at Grant McEwan Community College in

Edmonton, Alberta in the fall of 2000.

*I taught a third year undergraduate course offered through the Department of Psychology at the

University of Alberta on the ‘Neurobiology of Learning and Memory’ in the winter session of

         2002.

*Participant in the Teaching Enhancement Workshop Sept 26th-27th, 2001 Offered by the Division of

Studies in Medical Education in the Faculty of Meddicine at the University of Alberta.

.

Visiting Fellow, Research, Training Experiences and Conferences:

*Completed a course on functional neuroimaging entitled ‘Theoretical and practical issues involved

in conducting functional MRI imaging experiments: An introductory course for basic and clinical

researchers’ June 1-June 3, 2000 at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

*Completed a Visiting Fellowship program in Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging at the

Massachusetts General Hospital at Harvard University from June 17th-June 21st, 2002.

2005 for Drs. Branch Coslett and Anjan Chatterjee's Monthly Laboratory Meeting Group entitled:

"Reference frames for spatial cognition: Different brain areas are involved in viewer-, object-,

and landmark-centered judgements about object location"

*Visiting Fellow at the MIND Institute at the Center for Mind and Brain at the University of
California at Davis in November 2007 invited by Dr. Susan Rivera and Dr. David Hessl.

I gave a talk on the topic of “Integration of What and Where and Binding in the Cerebral Cortex”.

*Completed the Summer Institute on Social Cognition – Minds and Societies at the University
